David brings over 18 years of industrial engineering experience across a broad range of industries including defense, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and logistics. He is ready to help your organization fix what is broken or optimize current processes for increased efficiency.
Dr. Olszewski currently works as adjunct faculty at the University of Texas at Arlington teaching industrial engineering master level courses. He has previously worked as the Sr. Director of Industrial Engineering at Children's Health and an Industrial Engineering Manager at FedEx Office both located in Dallas, TX. He led teams of industrial engineers responsible for initiating and leading continuous process improvement type activities for operations, evaluating new operations technologies, developing business cases and implementing innovative solutions. Other prior work experience includes: General Dynamics Land Systems, Ford Motor Company, and KMart Corporation.
David earned a B.S.E and a M.S.E. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and a M.B.A. from Walsh College. He earned his Doctorate of Management from Walsh College with a dissertation on the Industrial Engineer as Organizational Leader. He is a certified Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) black belt and has managed and coached numerous six sigma projects.
He and his wife Kelly and their four children live in Celina, TX where David is active in church and chauffeuring kids to various activities.
